Aveo is seeking a passionate Enrolled Nurse to hit the ground running with the team of nurses at our Aveo Freedom Aged Care Banora Pointcommunity in NSW. 

This position will have exposure to work all areas of care within the community such as personal care, domestic care and Enrolled Nursing. This position will suit a newly graduate Enrolled Nurse looking to get into aged and community care. 

About the role:

  • Part-time position available (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 15:00 to 23:00)
  • Reporting to the Care Manager, you will be responsible in assisting the provision of quality care services to our residents
  • Being resident-focused you naturally demonstrate an empathetic attitude to the needs of the residents and are driven by safety, quality, efficiency and performance
  • Ensuring the team complies with Aveo policies and procedures and that the Aged Care Accreditation Standards are met
  • You will also be assisting with personal and domestic care
  • Aveo Freedom Aged Care Banora Point offers our residents freedom home living close to the Gold Coast. The community is only a short walk from public transport. 
  • Aveo Freedom Aged Care's purpose is to provide a caring, safe and inspiring environment that supports our residents in living their lives to the fullest through the latter stage of their ageing journey

About you:

  • Registered as an Enrolled Nurse with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia required
  • Previous experience working in gerontic Nursing essential
  • Current CPR certificate
  • Current Police Check clearance
  • Ability to work within OH&S and a continuous improvement environment

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise
  • Well-developed interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Good oral & written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability and passion to maintain clinical knowledge
  • Reliable & flexible approach to a 24hour rostering
  • Strong Leadership qualities - capacity to lead a care team clinically within scope of practice
