Gold Coast Health

Gold Coast Health is one of 16 hospital and health services (HHSs) in Queensland, statutory bodies that are responsible for delivering public health services to geographical areas of Queensland.

Gold Coast Health delivers a broad range of secondary and tertiary health services across more than 20 facilities. Our vision is to have the best health outcomes in Australia. Our purpose is to be a leader in compassionate, sustainable, highly reliable healthcare and our philosophy is to Always Care.

Gold Coast Health is leading the way in supporting student employment opportunities across clinical and non-clinical areas. In 2017, we introduced work experience offerings that expanded to include all Entry Level Opportunities (ELO) across the Health Service. These new opportunities provide exceptional pathways for students and graduates to enter the organisation in clinical and non-clinical roles.

We now capture the full range of entry level opportunities at Gold Coast Health, beyond workplace experience placements, including traineeships, internships, school-based placements or other partnership placements, each with the aim to assist individuals in their transition from study to work. Through collaboration and partnerships with TAFE and EPIC Assist, students across the Health Service have been engaged in work experience opportunities who later transition into temporary and permanent paid employment. Gold Coast Health is committed to addressing and reducing barriers often experienced by people with disabilities through a range of strategies. There are existing disability placement pathways in place that enable work placement opportunities for people with disabilities to take place.
